The meeting was called to order by President J. Philip Schmidt at 5:30 p.m. The assembly recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Officers present were Trustees Schmidt, Saloom, and Lees, Clerk Addicott, Road Supervisor Fredenburg, Fire Chief Barrett, and Police Chief Faustino.
The Trustees voted unanimously to remove the township's objection to the Ohio Division of Liquor Control for renewing the liquor license for RJ's at 759 Brookfield Ave., Masury; to pass a temporary budget for 2008, which is approximately equal to 25 percent of the 2007 yearly budget; to permit the township to provide, to elected officials, full time employees and their dependents, benefits, at their option, for life and health insurance as negotiated, provided under the section 506.6 of the Ohio Revised Code.
The township shall pay all or part of the premium for these benefits; to pay trustees in accordance with section 505.24(B)(7) of the Ohio Revised Code; to name Trustees Lee and Haun to the Fireman Dependency Board; to pay Trumbull Township Association dues for trustees and fiscal officer for 2008; to pay for the trustees and fiscal officer to attend the 2008 winter and summer conference of the OT A; to reimburse the trustees and fiscal officer for travel expenses incurred while doing township business, at the rate of $.34 per mile; to rehire Bonnie Ataman for 2008 as township/police secretary, with benefits to rehire Sharon Chambers as part time secretary at $9.97 per hour, with no benefits; to rehire David Addicott as part time janitor for the Ad

ministration Building at the rate of $9 per hour, with no benefits; to rehire the road crew of Mark Hughes, Matt O'Dell, Stewart Thompson, and D. J. Mild as per contract; to pay part time police officers $9 per hour, with no benefits, on a rotating basis as determined by the police chief, consistent within budgetary considerations.
Additional time, as scheduled, will not be compensated; to rehire current part time firefighter/EMT's at the rate of $ 7.75 per hour and rehire current part time firefighter/paramedics at the rate of $9.25 per hour. No benefits are provided for either classification; to pay ten (10) legal holidays for full time employees for 2008.
To qualify for this benefit, employees must be employed for six (6) full months, full time; to provide vacation and sick days to the police/trustee secretary based on the police contract; to rehire Fire Chief Keith Barrett at $22.84 per hour, plus benefits; to rehire Police Chief Dan Faustino at $23.08 per hour, plus benefits; to rehire Road Superintendent Jamie Fredenburg at $19.99 per hour, plus benefits; to hold the 2008 organizational meeting concurrent with the first regular meeting, Wednesday, Jan. 2; and to accept the negotiated contract with Local 3443 International Association of Firefighters, AFL/CIO, effective
Jan. 1-Dec. 31, 2010.
The motion to pay the bills for December 2007 was deferred; The oath of office was administered by Janalyn Saloom to reelected Clerk Sylvia Addicott and newly elected Trustee Ron E. Haun. The meeting was adjourned at 5:42 p.m.

Baby-time at Hubbard Public Library

The Hubbard Public Library Children's Room will offer Baby-time programs for babies ages birth through 24 months and their caregivers at 10 a.m. on the following dates Fridays, Jan. 25, Feb. 29, March 28, April 18 and Saturdays, Feb. 16, March 15, April 26.
Baby-time features rhymes, songs, and fingerplays for babies and their caregivers to enjoy together. Baby-time is also a great place to make new friends while giving your child a fun introduction to language, books, and reading. There is no charge to attend Baby-time, however, registration is required.
