Renewal weekend

Take a break now that the holidays are over and enjoying a delicious spaghetti dinner to be held Sunday, Jan. 13 at St. Patrick Church Hall, Hubbard from noon-3 p.m.
Dinner tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for children 6-12 and children under five are free.
Carry-outs will be available.
All proceeds will help fund the 2008 Women's Renewal Weekend, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 9 and 10 and the Men's Renewal Weekend, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 16 and 17.
Any men or women wishing to attend the Renewal weekends may inquire or sign up for the appropriate weekend at the spaghetti dinner. There is absolutely no cost to anyone attending the weekends.

Arthritis exercise schedule

Arthritis exercise schedule at Hubbard Community Pool is Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m.-noon
Silver Splash is Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m.-noon. This class is totally new and designed for senior citizens. It is offered through the Silver Sneakers network and is totally free to those who qualify through insurance. Don't have the right insurance? No worries, classes are as low as $2.50 per class (when you purchase 50 classes).

Hubbard Community swimming pool hours

Open swim times are Monday-Friday from
7-9 a.m. (doors open at 7 a.m. Sharp), Monday-Thursday from 7:30-9:30 p.m., Saturday from
1-4 p.m., Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
Lap swim times are Monday-Friday from
9 a.m.-noon, and Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Computer classes offered at Hubbard Public Library

Three basic-skill computer classes will be offered at the library this winter. Two separate sessions of Point and Click will be offered on Jan. 19, one at 1:30 p.m. and another at 3:30 p.m. This is a beginner class for people wanting to learn how to operate a computer.
Basic Windows XP will be presented at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16. This class will provide an overview of the XP operating system.
Two separate classes on
Basic Word will be held Saturday, March 15 at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. This class will introduce working with Word text and using Microsoft Office products in general. Participants should be comfortable with using a computer.
Registration is required. A non-refundable $5 registration fee is to be paid at the Library Circulation Desk at the time of registration. Signup will begin two weeks before each scheduled class date.

St. Pat's senior citizen's meeting

The next meeting for St. Pat's senior citizen's is Thursday, Jan. 24 in the church hall at

Brookfield Financial Aid Workshop

The Brookfield High School guidance department will be holding it's annual Financial Aid Workshop Thursday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
Sarah Helmick from Kent State Trumbull will provide information on all aspects of financial aid. Students and parents are welcome.

Hubbard H.S. Class of 1951 meeting

The Hubbard High School Class of 1951 will meet at 11:30 am. Jan. 16 at the Downtown Café for lunch. All are welcome.
