Saturday, Feb. 23 and Sunday, Feb. 24, Hubbard High School Drama Club did a great job presenting the play Mystery at Shady Acres by Michelle R. Davis. Shady Acres Hotel is hidden in a remote English countryside in the late 1980's. Soon after hotel guests arrive a diamond necklace is stolen. As the investigation begins, the audience is asked for help by police in solving the crime. After several interviews with the audience, the mystery is solved and arrests were made. The play was produced by special arrangements with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc., and directed by Carol Killian.

S.C.O.P.E. of Trumbull County celebrated its 46th anniversary Monday, Feb. 25 at the Warren Center. Pictured is the 2007 Board of Trustees as well as the 2008 officers; Lawrence Weeks; President, Jeffrey Hovanic; Vice President, William Bunkley; Treasurer, John Kurtz; Secretary, Janet Schweitzer, Executive Director. Also attending were new board members Don Scarmuzzi from Howland, Sharon Walthen from Girard and Mary Jane Wilson from Lordstown. Other members include outgoing President Dallas Woodall, Genevieve Bauman, Fremont Camerino, Karen Clower, Sandi Foster, William Horton, Michael Hourigan, Lillie Johnson, John Kroner, Sr., James McFarland, Lee Snelson, D.D.S., Steve Svecz and Frank Bodor (honorary member). The mission of S.C.O.P.E. is to inspire, strengthen and enrich adult lives in Trumbull County.
