Discover the artist within you

Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center offers a workshop, "Discovering the Artist Within" Saturday, March 15 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
This workshop is designed for beginners curious and interested in art. This program will provide time to appreciate visual forms through aesthetic sensitivity and perpetual skills. Inspiring writings of the 19th Century American philosophers and poets will be shared as participants discover aesthetic sensitivity and the spiritual significance of visual form while creating a their own expression through line art.
The program facilitator Steve Beck has taught art in the Youngstown area for 30 years and has locally exhibited his art. He has a BS in Education and is a licensed facilitator.
Cost is $ 40 per person which includes materials and lunch.

kindergarten registration

Parents of kindergarten age children may obtain a registration packet by stopping at the school between the hours of 7:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Those parents unable to come to school may request a registration packet to be mailed to them by calling the school at
330-534-1981 during the aforementioned hours. If you currently have a student at Roosevelt, you can request that they bring a packet home with them.
Parents seeking to register their kindergarten age child through open enrollment can call the Hubbard Exempted Village School District Board of Education office at 330-534-1921.

Awards luncheon for Hubbard Cheerleaders

The Hubbard Cheerleading Booster Club would like to welcome all past and present Hubbard cheerleaders and their family to the first annual awards luncheon March 9 at 2 p.m. at the Gallery in Hubbard.
Admission is $17. Be present as the Booster Club honors the 2007/2008 Hubbard Cheerleaders and their coaches. In addition to the great company and great food, they will have a 50/50 raffle and Chinese auction. Please contact either Pam Swarthout at
