John Tomko top fund raiser for St. Pats

St. Patrick School Builders Club continues the tradition of community service and giving. The mission of the Builders Club at St. Patrick School is to give back to the school and the community with service hours and monetary donations earned through fundraisers throughout the year.
This year the students began their busy year by making bags of candy for former St. Patrick student Ricky Smith to distribute to children in Iraq, where he is serving with the armed forces. Also in the fall they cleaned and landscaped around the school grounds and will do so again in the spring.
When the weather turned cold, the students focused their efforts on the holidays by bringing residents of Hubbard Manor holiday gifts bags and singing Christmas songs to help the residents get in the holiday spirit. They also donated gift cards to families in need to help purchase food for their holiday dinners.
The students are currently focusing their efforts in helping with the weekly fish fries by setting up tables and making the utensil packets for the dinners. They will be selling poppies later in the spring. They are also planning and implementing a "Fun Day" for the school at the end of the year. The students are able to continue their tradition of giving by their various fundraisers throughout the year. Their teacher advisor is Mrs. Cindy Lacko.
