I am happy to report that early site construction will begin in June with the demolition of the Eagles Nest/Art, Video Productions building.  In addition, a contractor drive will be developed on the west side of our campus.  From June through September the following construction events should be taking shape:
· Begin drilling 340 geothermal wells
· Install Sanitary Line to New HS @ Hall Ave.
· Install Sanitary Line to new ES @ Hall Ave.
· Create Temporary Detention Pond
· Install Site Utilities
· Cut at ES
· Fill at HS
· Underpinning for connection with pool
· Prepare HS Building Pad
· Base Course Pave Temporary Roads
· Build Retaining Wall at pool
· Prepare ES Building Pad
· Permanent Detention Pond @ South Side

Lenten mission at St. Patrick Church

All are welcome to attend a Lenten mission at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard, March 9-12. Noted author, lecturer and theologian Father Michael H. Crosby, OFM Cap will focus on "Compassion: The Core of Our Spiritual Life."
He will address all weekend Masses, then begin the mission Sunday, March 9 and continue each evening beginning at 7 p.m. Also, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings 9:15-10:15 a.m. he will meet with those who gather in the Church Hall to discuss "Resolving Our Conflicts." Light refreshments will be provided.
The topics for the evening sessions are Sunday, "Removing the Obstacles to God's Love for Us;" Monday, "Discovering the Hole in Our Heart: Becoming Whole-Hearted;" Tuesday, "The Need to Control: The Great Obstacle to Loving Others;" and conclude Wednesday with "The Eucharist: Overcoming Obstacles to Compassion."
The sacrament of reconciliation will be celebrated Tuesday evening and the mission will conclude with Mass followed by a reception Wednesday evening.
Father Michael Crosby belongs to the Midwest Province of the Capuchin Franciscans. He lives in fraternity with brothers serving the poor in Milwaukee's downtown area. He has a masters in economics and a PhD in Theology.

"Library Luck" Family Night

The Hubbard Public Library Children's Room will offer a Family Night program, "Library Luck", on Monday March 10 at 6:30 p.m.  Children of all ages accompanied by an adult are welcome to attend.  The event features stories, a treat, and fun activities.
There is no charge to attend, however advance registration is required and group size is limited.

Walnut Creek Community ready to distribute clothing

Walnut Creek Community Church Clothing Ministry is now set up and ready to distribute clothing. The clothing center is offering free clothing to individuals and families in need. They have men's, women's, children's, and infants clothing available.
If you or someone you know has a need for clothing please call Nancy at 330-772-9007 or
330-898-7989 for information. They also accept clean clothing in good condition in the drop boxes at the church office at 678 Niles Cortland Rd. SE in Warren and at Dreves Insurance at 1855 Tibbetts Wick Rd. in Liberty Township. The clothing you donate will help those in need right here in Trumbull County.

Memory loss support

An educational and support program for persons experiencing early stage memory loss will be held Monday, March 24. This group is for those in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease or other related dementia disorder and their family members. 
A brief screening process is required prior to participation in this group.  All services relating to this program is provided free of charge. For more information, please contact the Greater East Ohio Area Alzheimer's Association at 330-533-3300 or 1-800-272-3900.
