Top Hat announces thirteenth season of The Earth Trembled

Top Hat productions has announced that a total of five performances of The Earth Trembled  will be presented this Easter season. This enables a larger audience to be accommodated since many hoping to attend could not be given reservations last season.
The Passion play which depicts the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, will be held Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15 and Palm Sunday, March 16. It will also be presented Good Friday, March 21 and Saturday March 22. All performances begin at 7 p.m. and will be held at the Fairview Arts and Outreach Center, 4220 Youngstown-Poland Rd. in Youngstown. Admission is free but reservations are required as seating is limited, and can be made by calling 330-755-6412.

Goodwill hired as student affairs specialist

In keeping with its vision of a student-centered university, Penn State Shenango has hired David L. Goodwill as its student affairs specialist. In hi new position, Goodwill will be responsible for advising the campus' clubs and organizations, coordinating intramural sports and activities, coordinating the cultural events and diversity programs, and supervising the fitness center and student game room.
Before joining the Shenango campus staff, Goodwill was employed as a graduate assistant at the Natali Student Center at California University of Pennsylvania. During his tenure at CUP he assisted the Student Union and Action Office personnel to create social, recreational, intramural and educational events committee. He also worked with the Greek development committee to create programs and workshops and was the director of the Greek Judicial Board.
Goodwill will graduate with a masters degree in Law and Legal Studies/Homeland Security from CUP in May. He also holds associate and baccalaureate degrees from CUP in Criminal Justice. Goodwill is a lifetime member of the national fraternity, Theta Xi, CUP.

Happy Wanderers meeting

Happy Wanderers will meet Friday, March 28 at noon, at the Corner House Christian Church, Hubbard, OH. Everyone is asked to bring a sack lunch. Coffee and tea will be provided. The program will be provided by the Rescue Mission Choir and the history of the mission will be given.

American Red Cross
offering contractors class

The American Red Cross of Trumbull and Mercer Counties is offering a contractors class Wednesday, march 19 at the Sharpsville office, 517 W. Main St. or at the Warren office, 661 Mahoning Ave., Thursday, March 20. These classes run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. All participants will receive either a CPR barrier or a personal first aid kit. Price of these classes is $65 per person.

Walnut Creek Community ready to distribute clothing

Walnut Creek Community Church Clothing Ministry is now set up and ready to distribute clothing. The clothing center is offering free clothing to individuals and families in need. They have men's, women's, children's, and infants clothing available. If you or someone you know has a need for clothing please call Nancy at 330-772-9007 or 330-898-7989 for information. They also accept clean clothing in good condition in the drop boxes at the church office at 678 Niles Cortland Rd. SE in Warren and at Dreves Insurance at 1855 Tibbetts Wick Rd. in Liberty Township. The clothing you donate will help those in need right here in Trumbull County.
