Hubbard ABWA sets date for style show 2008

Students from art classes at Hubbard High School are preparing to exhibit their work in the Trumbull County Educational Service Center's Student Art Show. The show will be held at the Eastwood Mall Art Gallery in the J.C.Penney concourse of the mall over three weekends in March.
The Art Show will be held on Fridays, March 7, 14 and 21 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. It will be held on the following Saturdays - March 8, 15, and 22 - from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on the following Sundays - March 9, 16 and 23 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
This Student Art Show will feature approximately 120 works of art by more than 100 local high school students. The artwork will include photography, metal designs, sculpture, ceramics, prints, drawings and paintings.
There will be one scholarship and several other awards given at this Student Art Show. One student selected by a jury of professional artists will receive a $500 scholarship to Youngstown State University and a gift certificate for $200 in art supplies. Three students selected by the jurors will receive a gift certificate for $100 in art supplies. One student will receive a People's Choice Award, which is a gift certificate for $100 in art supplies.
The Trumbull County Educational Service Center provides educational leadership and instruction in the areas of curriculum development, special education and technology. The Center employs more than 200 teachers, therapists, psychologists, classroom assistants, and other specialists who work directly with approximately 35,000 students in 20 school districts. Friday, March 14, the Hubbard High School Symphonic Band will be participating in the OMEA District Five Band Contest at Lakeview High School in the auditorium, at 6 pm.
Admission is free. Come and support your Hubbard School music program.

Hubbard School District lunch menu for March

Monday, march 17 lunch will be a beef and cheddar sandwich with steak fires, applesauce, funnel cake and milk.
Tuesday, March 18 lunch will be chicken nuggets with sauce, whipped potatoes with gravy, pears, a dinner roll and milk.
Wednesday, March 19 lunch will be tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich with mixed fruit, goldfish crackers and milk.
Thursday, March 20 lunch will be Papa John's pizza and fish sandwich with a garden salad and dressing, fresh fruit, a cookie and milk.
Friday, March 21-28 there will be no lunch because of Spring Break.
Monday, March 31 lunch will be diced chicken in gravy with whipped potatoes, green beans, a dinner roll and milk.
