Bethel 35 elects spring term officers

Local entertainer to perform at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Bethel #35 of Niles, Ohio of the International Order of Job's Daughters recently held its spring term installation of officers.  Elected to lead the bethel into 2008 was Miss Addie Litowits of Boardman.  Miss Litowits is the daughter of Patrick & Rebecca Litowits and is a senior at Boardman High School.  Her theme for the term is "Fun in the Sun - A Tropical Paradise".  Her colors are hot pink & purple, her symbols are books, her scripture is John 14:27 and her Service Project is the country of Darfur. 
Acting as Installing Officer for the afternoon was Addie's aunt Mrs. Kelly Izzo, a Past Honored Queen of the bethel.  The other officers installed for the bethel were: Senior Princess-Brittany Fishel, Recorder-Ashley Mann, Treasurer-Angi Moser, Chaplain-Rachel Moser, 1st Messenger-Clarissa Murphy, 3rd Messenger-Tabathia Murphy, 4th Messenger, Alex Baker, and 5th Messenger-Colleen Alflen.  Serving in the Bethel Choir are: Jennifer Brainard, Jackie Wilson, Melissa Mansfield, Emily Henline, Allsion Henline, Stephanie Cross, Cassandra Dando, and Anissa Carter.
The bethel has many fun activities planned for the term including: attending statewide activities and official visitations, Ohio Miss Job's Daughter Pageant, Go-to-church Sunday, Rollerskating, a Pizza Party, and a Mother/Daughter picnic.  For more information on the Darfur project please visit:

Best wishes go to Miss Brittany Fishel, Pageant Delagate and Miss Addie Litowitz, Pageant Alternate as they compete in this year's Miss Ohio Job's Daughter Pageant. The bethel is also very proud of Miss Addie Litowitz-Grand Bethel 4th Messenger, Miss Rachel Moser-Grand Bethel Representative to Michigan, Maryland, and Kansas, and Mrs. Darla Moser - Grand 4th Messenger as they serve the Grand Bethel and Grand Guardian Council of Ohio at the annual Grand Session this year.
The daughters are busy planning for their Official Visitation which will be Monday, March 31, 2008 at 7:00pm with a picnic at 5:30 p.m. at the Niles Masonic Temple.  All Master Masons are encouraged to attend.

The African American Travel Conference (AATC), will be energized and entertained with a Caribbean flair. Rudy and the Professionals will be the highlighted entertainment for the AATC at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland on the evening of April 8. The AATC is an association of 2,500 Travel Planners serving the African American Community. The AATC acts as the source between Travel Planners and the Travel Industry. One of the event managers of "Positively Cleveland" saw Rudy and the Professionals perform, and thought he would be the perfect entertainer for the conference. The three day event begins with a icebreaker reception at 6 p.m. and continues through the evening from 7-10 p.m. with dinner and entertainment provided. The conference continues through April 10 with the intention of building travel relationships and networking opportunities. Christopher and Elizabeth Corbett of Hubbard, Ohio are thrilled to introduce Jackson Cooper Corbett to their friends and family. Jack decided to join the world on February 13, 2008 at 9:43 p.m. at the Northside Childbirth Center. He weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz. and was 20.25 inches long. His proud grandparents include William and Nancy Wittenauer of Hubbard, Pete and Lynne Elbel of Liberty, and Mike and Sue Corbett of Valparaiso, Indiana.

Community Good Friday

The Hubbard Christians in Action will have a Good Friday Service at the First Presbyterian Church, 22 Westview, Friday, March 21. 12:15 pm. As we go through Holy Week and prepare for the celebration of our risen Lord on Easter, please join us for the Good Friday Service. Everyone is welcome.
