Construction information from Hubbard City Engineering

Bridge and road closure
Preliminary utility work has begun for the deck replacement of the East Liberty Street (S.R. 304) bridge just adjacent to the "old" Greenwood Chevrolet Building. Effective Tuesday, April 1, that bridge will be closed to all traffic, in both directions, for a period of 90 days. The unsigned detour around the work area for local traffic is suggested to be from "the square" via North Main to East Water, using either Hillcrest, Princeton or Elmwood to connect back to East Liberty in order to reach all points east of the work site, following the reverse order to get back to the center of town.
Kindly watch for other Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) appropriately placed detour signage and do not attempt to cross the bridge during this period of time.
Any questions, call: Hubbard City Engineering at 330-534-1271.

Mammography day at
Victory Christian

Victory Christian Center, Tiffany Breast Care Center and the American Cancer Society will host a Mammography Day from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 6, at Victory Christian Center, 3899 McCartney Road, Rt. 422 in Coitsville.
The Tiffany Breast Care Center Mobile Mammography Van will be on hand to provide mammograms for women who attend the center and for other women in the community.
"One of our goals is to prevent and detect cancer at the earliest stage possible," said Al Stabilito, Northeast Ohio Public Relations Director of the American Cancer Society. "Detecting cancer early is much easier to treat and provides a better outcome, rather than a late stage diagnosis."
Victory Christian Center will have a team in this year's Liberty Relay For Life. They are holding the Mammography Day as a way to educate members about breast cancer prevention and to get women screened for this type of cancer.
Women who do not have insurance coverage or have inadequate health insurance may qualify for the American Cancer Society's Breast Education Screening Together (BEST) program or the Ohio Department of Health's Breast and Cervical Cancer Project (BCCP).
Nearly all breast cancers can be treated successfully if detected early. An annual mammogram beginning at age 40 is the most effective way to detect breast cancer at an early, curable stage. Annual clinical breast exams by a doctor or nurse and monthly self breast examinations are additional ways to detect breast cancer early.
This is the 7th year of the American Cancer Society's Liberty Relay For Life. This year's event will be held on May 16 & 17, at Churchill Park, off of Belmont Avenue, in Liberty.
To register for the Mammography Day call Cheryl Scherl at 330-629-8624. For more information about the American Cancer Society's Liberty Relay For Life call Pam Wilson toll free at 1-888-227-6446, ext. 2207.
