The Fire Department will no longer have to negotiate with the city & Township on issues such as equipment ,budget, contracts, and maintenance. It also helps with Federal and State grants. The District has a resident from the city and from the township that sits on the board, more accountability. The district will operate similar to the Hubbard Union Cemetery and Community Parks.
