Congratulations to Captain Toby A. Meloro, 17 year veteran of the Liberty Police Department. Captain Meloro recently received the award of Critical Incident Officer in Columbus. He was chosen from a field of 3100 police officer s in the State of Ohio.

Nathaniel and Nikolas Dowell of Hubbard participated in the Warren YWCA Olympics at Howland Middle School June 6, 2009. The boys competed in the soft ball throw, standing broad jump and running races in their age group. Nathaniel brought home a bronze medal in the soft ball throw. Nikolas brought home a gold medal in the broad jump and in the 25 yd. dash, a silver medal in the 50 yd. dash and was the overall winner for the second grade for the second year in a row. Congratulations boys! Keep up the good work!

The Lighthouse alpacas, Maria and Barbie Doll, from Jamestown, PA visited with the residents at Whispering Oaks. Both alpacas were each one year old and were friendly and loving with all of the residents.
