Regularly Scheduled Story Times: Family Time, Mondays at 6:30 p.m. all ages, March 10, 17, 24, 31. Story Time, Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. ages 3-6, March 5, 12, 19, 16. Toddler Time, Thursdays 10:30 a.m. 2 year olds accompanied by an adult, March 6, 13, 20, 27. Baby Time, 1st and 3rd Fridays at 11 a.m.. On March 1 the Library will be closed for the "Friends of the Library Fundraiser."

Niles First Christian Church important dates

Palm Sunday (March 16) 10:45 a.m. Worship Service, Message "Walk by Faith-In Autumn". 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary, the drama "It is Finished." Holy Thursday Drama (March 20) 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Easter (March 23) 10 a.m. Worship Service & Sacrament of Baptism Message "Jesus Saves!."

Art Battle: Girard vs. McDonald March 8

On Saturday, March 8 from 6-8 p.m. Girard High School will be taking on McDonald High School in an Art Competition/Showing. Currently the Girard High School is showing work at the Eastwood Mall.

First Presbyterian Church plans Spring Craft Show

The First Presbyterian Church will sponsor a Spring Craft Show from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, March 8, in the church fellowship hall. The church is located on the corner of Robbins and Summit Avenues. The show is free and open to the public.
Refreshments will be available. Proceeds will go to the church mission fund. This spring craft show is an early kickoff for the annual Pumpkin Fest in October, when craft items will again be sold along with pumpkins, gourds, cornstalks and other fall decoration items.

Girard's 21st. Century
Program free Taekwondo

Girard's 21st. Century After-School Program will again offer free Taekwondo lessons for Girard public and private school students in grades Kindergarten through 8th. grade.
Beginning Wednesday, March 19, the classes will meet twice a week, for 10 weeks, at the Girard Taekwondo/ Karate center at 22 W. Liberty St.
Lessons are taught by the director, Mr. Al Sterchior, or one of his qualified instructors. Registration, including contacts and emergency information,
must be completed by a parent prior to or during the first session.
