The annual 5K Joey Winterburn race was held Saturday, April 5, 2008 in Girard beginning at Liberty Park. The race was once again a great success thanks to Mayor Melfi and his police department and road crew, to Patrick Rubinic and the St. Rose Athletic Boosters, and of course all the runners. Pictured here with one of the runners who placed first in his age group is Carla Winterburn, mother of Joey Winterburn. Huggy Bunny for
Operation Smile
Warren Junior Women's League/GFWC International Affairs committee made "Huggy Bunny" comfort bags for Operation Smile. Operation Smile provides life-changing reconstructive surgery to children and adults in developing countries, as well as uninsured American children. Helping with this project were ladies from Howland SCOPE Craft Emporium group.

IMPACT Town Hall meeting
Warren Junior Women's League/GFWC members attended an IMPACT Town Hall meeting. IMPACT is a program designed to give citizens the unbiased, nonpartisan facts about the most pressing political reform issues in our state today. Mahoning and Trumbull County League of Women Voters sponsored this IMPACT Town Hall meeting.
