TNT Scholarships By Roselyn Gadd
Trumbull New Theatre is distributing scholarship applications. Since 1975 TNT has annually awarded several scholarships , ranging $250-$500 per award to high school seniors or full-time college students. TNT is looking for individuals who demonstrate a love of theatre and will participate in community theatre after graduation. The single greatest requirement for these scholarships is a love of theatre. Applications are available from guidance counselors and advisors. Anyone with questions can call 330-856-2129.

Penn-Ohio Polka Pals
The Pen-Ohio Polka Pals Booster Club will be having their 27th Annual Spring Dance Sunday, May 4 from 3-7 p.m. at Kuzman's Lounge in Girard. The event will feature the music of the Del Sinchak Band. A donation of $7 per person is accepted. There will be over 50 door prizes. Bring your family and friends.

"A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum"
The Musical Comedy, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, will be performed at the Trumbull New Theater in Niles on Tuesday, May 13 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. This event is hosted by Learning Friends Preschool of Cortland. Chinese Auction tickets on sale at Easter Seals
Tickets for the Annual Summer Chinese Auction will be on sale at the Easter Seals Garage/Tent Sale located in the Ridgeview Plaza a the corner of 422 and Ridge Rd. in Warren. Tickets will be sold at the big tent sale on May 2,3,4 Hours are 9 a.m.-9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday> the drawings will be held at 4 p.m. on June 8. The winners do not need to be present to win. There are many wonderful items, including bicycles, golf clubs, gas grills, butcher block kitchen center and a set of four wicker patio chairs. Dinner discussion at First Presbyterian Church
What are the limits of religious freedom? When does the state have the right or the obligation to intervene in religious practice? What is the appropriate response when faced with a situation such as the polygamist sect in Texas? These questions will be the basis for a dinner and discussion on Sunday May 4 at the First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Churchill Road, Girard, Ohio. The potluck supper dinner begins at 5 p.m. and the discussion begins at 6 p.m. The public is invited to both the dinner and discussion. Senior Safety Seminar offered at Niles S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center
A Senior Citizen Safety seminar will be offered at the Niles S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center on Wednesday, May 7 from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The seminar will address safety issues in the home as well as medical safety. There will be a presentation on the SAFEMEDALERT emergency response system. Lunch will be available for $3 and free cookies and punch will be served. Well-Child immunization clinic in Girard
The Well-Child immunization clinic will be held Wednesday, May 14 at 11 a.m. in the Girard Health department located in the City Building. The clinic is offered free of charge to Girard City children, and Dr. James J. Enyeart, Medical Director, conducts the examinations. Parents are reminded to bring a copy of the child's immunization record. A parent or guardian must accompany children under the age of eighteen. Parents must pre-register child prior to the clinic.
