Father-daughter dance
H. C. Mines Intermediate School in Howland recently held father-daughter dance at the school. Mr. Jack Theil, a former physical education teacher in the district, was the caller for the evening. Everyone danced the night away and enjoyed refreshments provided by the school's PTO at the end of the evening.

The girls worked on two fleece blankets for the Blankets of Love project at the end of January. They delivered them to Domestic Sewing Center in Warren where they completed the Sew on the Badge. While at the center they made aprons to wear to two upcoming activities, a cooking class at LaRiccia's in Boardman and Blessed Sacrament's American Heart Association Pasta Cook off on February 24. For the cook off the girls provided service. They bussed and cleaned tables catering 400 people for the second year. Prior to the event, they rolled the silverware for the event.
