TAG's first ever exchange art show

The Trumbull Art Gallery and Cuyahoga Valley Art Center are collaborating to present their first EXCHANGE ART SHOW.  Through the efforts of Linda Nye, director of CVAC and Marie Dippolito from TAG, plans have been formulated for an exchange of both judges and artworks for an EXCHANGE EXPO ART SHOW.
One of the Trumbull Art Gallery's many endeavors is to expand and reach out to our neighboring art galleries for the exchange of ideas, talent and programs. The exchange show will provide artists from both galleries an opportunity to expand their world of art by exhibit their artistic works to a different audience.
Artists will bring their works to their local art centers where they will be judged for entry into the show by a judge from the other participating gallery.  The selected works will then be transported to the exchange gallery where they will be on exhibit from April 27 to May 24, 2008.
The show will be juried for selection by exchanging a judge from each art center.  A judge from CVAC will judge TAG's show and a judge form TAG will judge CVAC's show.  Sally Heston from Cuyahoga Falls will judge the pieces from the TAG artists. Chris Leeper from Youngstown, will judge the pieces from CVAC artists.
Two receptions will be held.  One on Sunday, April 27 from 3-5 at TAG and one at CVAC on May, 4 from 3-5.  Artists and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend both.
We hope that this will be the start of future exchange shows with other neighboring art galleries. We are excited and eager to present this Exchange Expo.
Both galleries are open to the public and we welcome you to come and view this exciting show.  TAG's hours are Tuesday through Saturday 12 to 4pm.  CVAC's hours are Monday through Friday 9-5pm; however, the last day of the show, Saturday, May 24th , CVAC will be open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
