Postpartum Support Group
A local chapter of Postpartum Support International (PSI) has formed in the Youngstown/Warren area. PSI is a non-profit organization that has been helping women cope with postpartum depression and anxiety since 1987. Postpartum Support Group Meetings are held the first and third Thursdays of every month from 6:30-8 p.m. at the D&E Counseling Center, 142 Javit Ct., Austintown, OH 44515. Trumbull Lifelines addresses key issues
As a part of May is Mental Health Month activities, Trumbull Lifelines is sponsoring the community presentation "A Soldier Comes Home: Trauma, Combat Stress and Readjustment." by Dr. Edgardo Padin from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Monday May 12 in the 1st floor conference room of the Trumbull metropolitan Housing Authority, 4076 Youngstown-Warren Rd. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Teen workshop programs at main library in May
A free Photography Workshop for Teens will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 12 at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Avenue NW in Warren. Teens will learn tips to taking better pictures, become familiar with camera terminology, and can create an album for their photos. Registration is limited; call 330-399-8807 ext. 400 to sign up. The Teen Central Anime Club will meet at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 17 at the Main Library to view and discuss this increasingly popular format. The Anime Club is open to teens age 13 and older or in seventh grade and above. Someplace Safe in need of food
Someplace Safe, Trumbull County's only Domestic Violence Agency is in need of non-perishable and perishable food items such as meat, eggs, butter, milk, bread, pasta and spaghetti sauce, fruits, soup, cereal, sugar, coffee and creamer. They are also in need of goods like toilet paper, paper towels, cups, laundry detergent and large garbage bags. Someplace Safe is a private non-profit agency that provides 24-hour emergency shelter and crisis intervention to women and their dependant children who are victims of domestic violence.

Someplace Safe, Inc. Trumbull County's Domestic Violence Agency, will be having a rummage sale at St. Williams Catholic Church in Champion on Friday, May 9 from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. and Saturday, May 10 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. with a $1 bag sale from 12-3. There will be a Thursday Night preview on May 8 from 5-7 p.m. where the public can shop for the cost of $5.
