Accent on Youngstown to air March 7

Accent Media, LLC is launching a new weekly webcast called "Accent On Youngstown."  The video will be available on their website, MySpace page, and blog, and is a personal project created by the Accent Media team to showcase and give back to their new home in Downtown Youngstown, their clients, and the Mahoning Valley area community.  Sales and Marketing Director Scott Fullerton says, "It was an idea we have been kicking around since we moved to our new studio in Downtown.  We having been talking about putting on a half hour show on one of the local channels that we would create and produce, and this project is a smaller version test run on the Web."
Each webcast will be around 8 - 15 minutes long and can be seen streaming on the web for free.  The program will be broken down into at least 3 segments that will feature news, commentary, civics, entertainment, food, and fun in the Youngstown and Mahoning Valley area.  "As the citizens, the bloggers, the community activists and the politicians continue their focus into bringing Youngstown back to a smaller, yet no less vibrant city," says Fullerton, "Accent Media would like to offer another forum to be seen and heard in sounding the call to take back our Valley.  We also have an excellent and diverse client base that we will feature in some segments.  Working with clients like The Youngstown Symphony Society, Turning Point Technologies, Shine! Health Beauty and Wellness, Super Suppers and more, we have many experts in many fields to provide insight, services, entertainment and fun to be found and had in the Mahoning Valley."
The first webcast will be uploaded on Friday, March 7, and will feature prominent Defend Youngstown blogger and new Director of Downtown Events and Community Outreach, Phil Kidd; Teacher, Artist and Youngstown supporter Brooke Slanina, from the Oakland Theatre; a visit with a local restauranteer; and maybe a surprise or two.  Although the company is always busy producing work for other clients, this is the first time they have created a project for themselves of this magnitude.  Asked if he was worried about the time being committed to this new project, Fullerton added, "This is more a labor of love and fun for our team of cameramen, editors and graphic artists.  We all are willing to dedicate the extra time it is going to take to get this project started, but think we can get into system and rythym of shooting guests at the studio one day a week and doing some location shots on another.  We always try to keep at least one editor free on any given day in case an emergency project comes up, so that should handle the editing for it." You can view the weekly webcast at Accent Media's website, www.accentmediaonline.com, and you can also check it out on their blog or MySpace page as well.  If you have segment ideas that you would like to see, the Accent Media blog has a button to make a free call to the companies voicemail.  Segment ideas and comments on current or past webcasts are always encouraged.
