Ringling Bros. And Barnum and Bailey ticket information
All paid patrons who were unable to come to the March 7 through 9 Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Bellobrations at the Chevrolet Centre due to inclement weather can exchange their original untorn tickets for a voucher to be used for the 2009 Ringling show, Feld Entertainment announced today. All five Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey shows at the Chevrolet Centre were sold out, but due to the winter storm, not everyone was able to come. Ringling Bros. is committed to customer care in all the markets it visits and as such, is providing these vouchers to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Customers who paid for a ticket can simply go to the Chevrolet Centre and exchange their original untorn tickets for a weather comp voucher from Friday, March 21 until April 30. Or customers can mail the original untorn tickets and a self-addressed stamped envelope, to the following address to have your vouchers mailed back to you: The Chevrolet Centre, ATTN: Tracey Biery, 229 East Front Street Youngstown, OH 44503 All mailed tickets must be postmarked by April 30 These customers will be responsible for exchanging the vouchers for show tickets at the Chevrolet Centre Box Office when tickets go on sale for the 2009 Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey show. A few particulars about the vouchers for the 2009 performances: 1. We will guarantee same price level but not same seats as show set-ups change from year to year. 2. No copies of tickets or vouchers will be accepted. 3. Vouchers must be redeemed no later than 2 weeks prior to the Opening Night of the engagement.

JonesFest to hit Youngstown
Youngstown Local Music is pleased to announce the addition of JonesFest to the ever-growing list of exciting events happening in the new Downtown Youngstown! The idea for JonesFest was conceived last August in the aftermath of VexFest IV, another successful Youngstown Local Music event that showcases diverse musical talent that exists right here in the Mahoning Valley. JonesFest intends to ignite the summer of '08 with a charismatic lineup featuring live performances from some of the regions favorite musical acts including The Zou, 5 Elements, Captain Braskey, The Devotees, Jones For Revival and many more! JonesFest is scheduled to take place Saturday May 31 on West Federal Street with performances beginning at 4 p.m. Best of all, admission is FREE to the public. Senior Art Show Extravaganza
Park Vista and the Mahoning County Senior Center will host a Senior Art Show Extravaganza April 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Park Vista's Gathering Room, 1216 Fifth Avenue, Youngstown. The event will feature art created by area senior artists, including watercolors, acrylics, oils, wood, photography, textiles, and ceramic entries. The Butler Institute of American art will display a selection of masterpieces. Docents will be present to provide information. Bob Barko, Jr. will be present with his creative art collection from the Steel Town Studios Gallery. His works include a 24-foot mural depicting the visual history of Youngstown, along with artwork featuring Idora Park, Isaly's, Millcreek Park, downtown theaters, steel mills and more. Pianist Joo Hwa and Violinist Karen Considine from Dana School of Music will provide music to compliment the Art Show Extravaganza. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served and those attending can register for door prizes. Summer Concerts on the lawn.

Happy Wanderers meeting
Happy Wanderers will meet Friday, March 28 at noon, at the Corner House Christian Church, Hubbard, OH. Everyone is asked to bring a sack lunch. Coffee and tea will be provided. The program will be provided by the Rescue Mission Choir and the history of the mission will be given. Serving as hospitality is Irene DeStasio, Jim & Ethelene Williams, and Bob Jailet. Greeters will be Joan Aeppli, Joyce Hillier, Wilma Quinn. Everyone who is able is asked to bring paper products for the mission. Those whose last names begin with A-L are asked to bring a pie. Pictures will be taken for the new pictorial directory that is being prepared. Departure for the Carousel for "The King and I" on March 19 is at 10:30 a.m. (tickets are available). The group will also sponsor tours on April 15 to Cleveland for "Some Enchanted Evening-Pop Goes the Classics"; May 12 Buffalo and Niagara Falls Tour; June 18th Short Mystery Tour, July 25 and 26 to Lancaster for "In the Beginning" and "Abraham and Sarah." Gun and Sporting Goods Show May 29 and 30
Hidden Valley Sportsmen's Club is hosting a Gun and Sporting Goods Show on Saturday, May 29 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, May 30 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. This event is open to the public. Admission is $4 children under 12 are free. Parking is free as well. A concession stand will be open.
