The ceremony took place at the trustees' meeting room at the township government center. Also present were Police Chief Pat  Berarducci of Boardman, Youngstown Police Chief Jimmy Hughes of Youngstown and FB Agent John Kane.
Boardman officers taking their oath were Sgt. Glenn Riddle, Officer Jonathan Martin, Officer Richard Romeo and Officer Brian Cionni with K-9 Robby.
"By deputizing these men, each will have the same power as a federal agent and be able to make arrests in every jurisdiction," Chief Berarducci said. "This is an important part of our proactive strength."
