Columbiana County Chapter of the OGS

Columbiana County Chapter of OGS will begin the 2008 season on Wed. March 12 at 7 p.m. at The Salem Historical Society, located at the corner of Pershing and Broadway in Salem, OH. Sally Murphy Pallante, President of the Irish American Archival Society, is the featured speaker. Her program will discuss the history of Irish immigrants and their contribution to society in the greater Mahoning Valley. Anyone with an interest in local Irish history and genealogy is welcome to attend.

Genealogical Society meeting

The Mahoning County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will hold a regularly scheduled meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 17 at St. Charles Church Ministry Building in Boardman. The program will be History of Meander Reservoir, presented by Tom Holloway, District manager and Head Engineer of the Mahoning Valley Sanitary District. The Computer Interest Group will meet at 6 p.m.
