Easter Eggstravaganza
Mill Creek metroPark's annual Easter Eggstravanganza will be held Saturday, March 15 at 11:30 a.m. Sharp! This perennial favorite of Valley families will take place on the Judge Morley Pavilion lawn in the Wick Recreation Area. The egg hunt is the children 4-10 years old, the Easter Bunny will visit a special hunt area for children 2-3 years old and their parents. Fellows Riverside Gardens to celebrate 50th
On Wednesday, March 19 Fellows Riverside Gardens turns 50 years old. It began with Elizabeth Fellows in 1958 when she donated the land and the financial means to establish the Gardens. Since that day this community asset has developed into the finest public garden in Easter Ohio and is the crown jewel of Mill Creek MetroParks. Throughout the day, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. the public is invited to visit the Gardens and share in this historic day. A special celebration will take place at 10 a.m. with the planting of a gold flowered Magnolia, the public release of the new Fellows Riverside Gardens Master Plan and a visit by "Elizabeth" herself. Mahoning County Genealogical Society meeting
The Mahoning County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will hold a regularly scheduled meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 17 at St. Charles Church Ministry Building in Boardman. The program will be History of Meander Reservoir, presented by Tom Holloway, District manager and Head Engineer of the Mahoning Valley Sanitary District. The Computer Interest Group will meet at 6 p.m.

Fishing season now open at Mill Creek
Fishing season has opened at Mill Creek Park for licensed fisherman at Lake Glacier, Lake Newport and the shore lines at Yellow Creek in Yellow Creek Park. Private boats must comply with MetroParks regulations in order to be used at Lakes Glacier and Newport from 6:30 a.m. to dark. Shore line fishing is from 5 a.m,. to dark.. First time home buyer workshop April 2
Family Financial Education Services, a program of Family Service Agency, is sponsoring a first time home buyer workshop, Wednesday, April 2 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. This free workshop is designed to cover basic home buying information such as determining affordability, budgeting, credit problems, and the loan application process. It will be held at the Family Service Agency, 535 Marmion Ave. in Youngstown. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance that will satisfy the education requirements for some mortgage programs. There is no cost for the workshop. Call 330-782-5664 to register. Spaghetti dinner fundraiser
The Elvis Caraballo spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be held at Boardman High School in the cafeteria Sunday, March 16 from 1-5 p.m. The cost is a donation of $7 per person and $4 for children 12 and under. Tickets will be available at the door.

The Mahoning Valley Fibromyalgia Support Group will meet Wednesday, March 19 from 7-8:30 p.m. Dr. Patrick Ensminger, a Warren chiropractor, will speak on the benefits of chiropractic services to those with Fibromyalgia. The Beaver Township Ruritan Club will hold its 47th Annual Fish Fry March 15 at South Range High School. Hours are 3-7 p.m., with carry out available from 2:30-7 p.m. The price for individuals over 12 is $8. The cost for children ages 5 to 12 is $4. There is no cost for children younger than 5.

St. Paul's Annual Spring Fling
