First time home buyer workshop April 2

Family Financial Education Services, a program of Family Service Agency, is sponsoring a first time home buyer workshop, Wednesday, April 2 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. This free workshop is designed  to cover basic home buying information such as determining affordability, budgeting, credit problems, and the loan application process. It will be held at the Family Service Agency, 535 Marmion Ave. in Youngstown. All participants will receive a certificate of  attendance that will satisfy the education requirements for some mortgage programs. There is no cost for the workshop. Call 330-782-5664 to register. No reservations will be taken the day of the program.

Learn How to Spot Severe Storms and Tornadoes

Mahoning County Skywarn, a volunteer organization of weather spotters will be conducting training on how to recognize approaching storms and tornadoes. This will be an interesting and informative presentation.  Gary Garnet, Warning Coordinator Meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Cleveland, will conduct the training Wednesday, March 26, 6 p.m.. at the Austintown Fitch High School Auditorium, 4560 Falcon Drive, Austintown, Ohio 44515.  Training is free and open to the public..

Multiple Sclerosis
educational meeting

The Multiple Sclerosis Services Agency of Youngstown will host an Educational Meeting, sponsored by Teva Neuroscience, Tuesday, April 1, beginning at 6:15 p.m. at Austinwoods Health Care Center, 4780 Kirk Rd. in Austintown.
Guest speaker will be Dr. Jay Berke, Adult Neurology Specialist from the Neuracare Center in Canton. Dr. Berke will be speaking on the challenges of living with multiple sclerosis and he will answer questions from those present.
The event is open to all those who have multiple sclerosis, their friends, family and caregivers. There is no cost to attend and refreshments will be served.
