Coffee House and Concert
His Music Connection invites you to this Saturday night's Coffee House at the Old Wellman Theater in Girard, located at 29 West Liberty St. The groups performing this Saturday, March 29, from 6 to 10 pm, are 24 Flames of Akron, and A New Creation of Dayton. These Contemporary bands perform outstanding original music and cover songs. His Music Connection has picked up the tab for this concert. 46th annual antiques show and sale
There will be an antiques show and sale Friday, March 28 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday, March 29 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Howland Community Church, 198 Niles-Cortland Rd. S.E. in Warren. For more information call 330-856-3628. Appraisals will be done by Ken Yenke on Saturday, March 29, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The appraisals will be $5 a piece and limited to two items per person. Donations is $3. New dealers will be introduced.

Prepare to be an American Red Cross Instructor
The Mahoning Chapter of the American Red Cross is offering FIT (Fundamentals in Teaching) at the Jewish Community Center in Youngstown, Sunday March 30 from 10:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m. There is no prerequisite for this training. FIT is the required first module in becoming a certified American Red Cross Instructor in Babysitter Training, CPR/AED/1st Aid, Lifeguard Training, Water Safety Instructor or Pet 1st Aid. Upon successful completion graduates will hold a certificate making them eligible to enroll in any Red Cross Instructor Course over the next 12 months. The course fee of $25 covers training, all materials, and certification. To register or for further information, call the Red Cross at 330-726-6063, or visit them online at www.mahoningredcross.org. Eric earned 22 merit badges. He has held positions of assistance senior patrol leader, patrol leader, assistant patrol leader, librarian, and quartermaster. Eric received the Pope Pius XIII award and is a member of the order of the arrow. He belong to St. Nicholas Church in Struthers. Eric's Eagle project was to supervise and construct a new walkway to The Hopewell Memorial, The Peace Keepers Memorial, and the Struthers Peace Officers Memorial on Poland Ave. in Struthers. Eric is a senior at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, where he is in the Engineering Tech Prep Program. He is a member of the National Technical Honor Society. Eric plans on attending YSU in the fall for engineering.

Music as it is meant to be sung
The Wade Raridon singers will be presenting a concert entitled "Music As It Is Meant To Be Sung" Sunday March 30, 4 p.m. at the Poland United Methodist Church, and Sunday, April 6, 2 p.m. at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Youngstown. Admission is free.
