Clean Up Litter Day

On April 19 Boardman Township is hosting a Clean Up Litter Day with a rain date scheduled for Saturday, April 26. This event is scheduled to take advantage of Earth Day events that are taking place nationally and internationally that focus on making the Earth a better and safer place to live. Litter Clean Up Volunteers should show up at 9 a.m. on April 19 at Boardman Park in the parking lot behind the Lariccia Family Bocce Pavilion where they will be assigned an area that needs attention. Gloves, t-shirts, vests, and trash bags will be provided.

Cinderella in Columbiana

Heartland Christian School is presenting the classic tale of "Cinderella" on April 17 and 18 at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium located at 28 Pittsburgh St. in Columbiana. For more information phone 330-482-2331. The cost for tickets are Family $10, adults $4, and students $2.

C&G to hold ribbon cutting
celebrating spring season

C & G Carts, Signs and Graphics will kick off the spring season with a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate its expanded operations.  The event will take place on Friday April 11, beginning at 2 p.m. 
Owners Dennis and Denise Christenson have expanded operations at their North Lima/Boardman location to include a newly remodeled showroom, trailer sales, a 20 fleet golf cart rental service, and an extensive used golf cart sale lot.

Rummage Sale

The York Drexler VFW Post 5532 will be housing a rummage sale on Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Table rental is $15 inside, 10 outdoors pavilion or $25 outdoor. Sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary. For more information call Mary Ann Curtis at 330-482-0499.

Calvary Baptist spaghetti dinner April 19

The Calvary Baptist Church, 1463 Shields Road in Boardman, is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner on April 19 from 4-7 p.m. The menu includes spaghetti, meatballs, Italian bread, salad, dessert and beverage for $6/adults and $3/children 12 and under. Take out is available.

Construction open house

Proposed plans for rebuilding the fire-damaged wing and an addition of Mahoning County Career & Technical Center will be unveiled at an open meeting at 7 p.m. on April 21, in the Lecture Hall of MCCTC at 7300 N. Palmyra Road, Canfield, OH  44406.  The public is invited.

Jordan Beil CD Release Party

His Music Connection will host Jordan Beil for the release of his new CD "the way you move me" Also performing at this event will be "Witness". The coffee house concert will take place this Saturday, April 19, at the old Wellman theater located at 29 W. Liberty street in Girard.
