The 57th Annual Boardman Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt was rescheduled because of bad weather and held on April 8th this year. Temperatures at Boardman Park's Tots Town neared 70° and the event was enjoyed by all four Boardman Elementary school's kindergarten classes. Special thanks goes to the Easter Bunny for coming back out during the off-season for this annual event. For the past 57 years, the Boardman Kiwanis Club has taken pride in organizing the Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt as one of their services projects and some of it's members even remember attending the hunt when they were in Kindergarten. Since then the colored eggs have been replaced with plastic eggs filled with candy - most of which is donated by local stores here in Boardman.
The next community project will be the Memorial Day Parade. Members are excited about putting together a new float to bring attention to the Kiwanis service projects. Perhaps you can represent your company by being a member in this worthwhile community organization. For more information, call our president Chris Bierdeman 330-729-9061 or e-mail: cbierdeman@shepherdofthevalley.com or contact: Mark Luke at 330-758-8840 or George Grim at 330-758-5847.
