Struthers chicken dinner

Creamed chicken over biscuits dinner will be Sunday, May 4 from noon-2 p.m.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. Carry-outs are available. Tickets are available at the door. The public is welcomed to attend. All proceeds will benefit the church ministries.
The dinner will be held at Struthers United Methodist Church, 33 Sexton St., in Struthers.

His Music Connection Concert

His Music Connection will be having their next Concert on Saturday, May 10 at 6-10 p.m. Performing at this event located at the Old Wellman Theater, 29 West Liberty Street in Girard, Ohio will be "PURPOSE", "NOTHING PURE", and His Music Connection. Fibromyalgia meeting

Multiple Sclerosis support group meeting

The Multiple Sclerosis Services Agency Mahoning County Support Group will meet on Tuesday, May 6 at 7 p.m. at Austinwoods Health Care Center, 4780 Kirk Rd. in Austintown.
Speaker will be Michelle Roberto of Medtronics. She will be giving information on the Baclophin Pump and taking questions. The meeting is open to all those who have multiple sclerosis, their friends, caregivers and family members. There is no cost to attend and refreshments will be served. 1st annual indoor yard sale

G.E. Quarter Century Club

The G.E. Quarter Century Club will hold it's 63rd Annual Spring Dinner Meeting on Sunday May 18 at the Croatian Home in Youngstown 3:30 p.m. Social Hour and 4:30 p.m. Dinner the cost for dinner is $17 for retirees and guest. Joshua's Care Depot
provides emergency food

Faith Fellowship Church of God in Struthers offers emergency food through a program called Joshua's Care  Depot. We have joined forces with the Help Hotline and Turning Point as well as Second Harvest to help people in need.
We are in need of donations to keep the program stocked and continue to serve the hurting in our area. If you can help In any way or need food for you and your family please call the Church at 330-755-0619 Monday through Friday and make an appointment.

Zoldan's horse runs in
Kentucky Derby

"Visionaire," a horse owned by Boardman businessman Bruce Zoldan, will be running in the Kentucky Derby tomorrow, May 3.
Zoldan, who owns Phantom Firewoks and the Mahoning Valley Phantoms, said the horse will be ridden by jockey Jose Lezcano. He also noted that trainer Michael Matz told him the colt is in prime condition for the race. Matz was the trainer of  "Barbaro."
"Visionaire" has earned $200,000 so far in placing 6-3-1-1.
