Teams paraded onto the main field, carrying homemade banners and flags, supported by hundreds of friends and family. Former YSU quarterback and Boardman Community Baseball All-Star, Tom Zetts threw out the first pitch to start the season. Children surrounded the local star with autograph requests post-ceremony. Zetts is the new manager for the Boardman High School freshman baseball team. On Sunday, over 500 BCB friends and family traveled to Cleveland for the 1st Boardman Community Day at Progressive Field.
