Newton Falls Community Pantry By Doug Herlinger
For the eleventh straight year, Alan Feinstein, of Cranston, RI will divide $1 million dollars among hunger fighting agencies through the "Feinstein Foundations." The Newton Falls Community Pantry is being offered the opportunity to participate again this year. The more donations we receive from March 1-April 30 the more of the Feinstein money we will receive. Donations can be in the form of cash, checks and food items (valued at $1 per item or pound) as well as pledges. The minimum we could get is $250. This is a great opportunity for the pantry to get extra funds. If you have considered donating to the Newton Falls Community Pantry, please consider giving it, or pledging it between March 1 and April 30. God Bless you al for your continued support in trying to feed the hungry people in our area.

Easter - A Day of Celebration! By Patty Scahill
This week it's Easter. On Sunday, many of us will be attending church services in our communities and around the world. We will be celebrating what Jesus Christ accomplished for us on the cross at Calvary and His defeat of death, hell and the grave. We will be celebrating Easter Sunday! Hallelujah, He has risen! The fact that He rose again, gives us hope for this life, and hope for eternity. I wonder what His disciples felt as they watched the passion of Christ? When Jesus was crucified before their very eyes, we can only imagine their grief and sorrow. Jesus was their answer; He would be the one to save and rescue the people from the bondage of another's rule. His disciples spent time with Him as they shared the Lord's Supper. He spoke to them concerning things to come. Do you think they really understood what was about to happen? I don't think so. In all of the 3½ years of Jesus' ministry upon this earth, He was teaching, preaching, healing, performing miracles and preparing them for this day in time. The disciples and His followers looked to Him as the One to give them hope. Now as they watched, their hopes appeared to be taken from them. But this was not the case. It was Friday, but Sunday really was coming! We can read in the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 24 that certain women came to the tomb and found the stone rolled away. There were two angels who stood near in dazzling clothing. The women were terrified. The angels asked them this question: "Why do you seek the living One among the dead? He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was with you?" Yes, their hope was gone, but now it was alive again. The stone was rolled away and there in front of them was an empty grave. Jesus - the Son of God, has risen from the dead. It is resurrection Sunday. God is the God of hope. The hope found only in His Son, Jesus Christ. Because He lives, we live also. Are you without hope today? Has life been hard for you and has hope been taken from you? Well, then you are in a place to receive help from the Lord. Help from God to deal with all the hopelessness you may now be feeling. Help from Him to live through loneliness and despair. He is the God of all hope. Just as those disciples thought it was all over; all of their hope taken from them, Jesus shows up! Yes - He is alive. And because He is the living God He can minister hope and life to us. In Luke 24:36, Jesus says, "Peace be to you." By His death and resurrection He brought peace to a lost and dying world. We can have a relationship with Him and our heavenly Father, because of Jesus. Because of Him, never lose hope. Never give up. The Lord is on our side, all we need to do is accept His precious and costly sacrifice. By accepting Him, we have hope and life eternal. Yes, Jesus is alive! May He be alive in you today as you celebrate Easter - Resurrection Sunday!
