Spaghetti dinner cancelled

Alpha Chapter #44 Order of the Eastern Star has cancelled the March Spaghetti dinner for March 22 due to Easter.
The next dinner will be Saturday, April 26 at the Masonic Temple in West Farmington.

Discount on your taxes by supporting March of Dimes

Leavittsburg Liberty Tax Service on SR 5 wants to help babies. In an effort to raise the office goal of $10,000 for the March of Dimes owner Jennifer Stocker has agreed to a special deal for her clients. Now through March 31 when you make a donation to the March of Dimes at the office in Leavittsburg they will discount your tax preparation fees by an equal amount up to $50.
This offer is good for both new and returning customers regardless of how complex your tax preparation may be. Walk-ins are always welcome but appointments are highly recommended. Office hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday form
9 a.m.-5 p.m. The office is closed on Sundays in March.

Free tax preparation for those filing Stimulus Rebate

There are people who normally do not file a tax return do to not having a tax responsibility. People with only Social Security, Disability Income and Veterans Benefits normally do not file a tax return. If these people do not file their 2007 tax return they will lose out on the stimulus rebate; which is free money.
At Liberty Tax Service they will file these returns for free. They ask that the return is files by March 31 in order to not interfere with normal end of tax season.
At the Leavittsburg Liberty Tax Service they are also making sure these tax filers filed their 2006 tax return in order to receive the telephone tax credit. This is a minimum of $300 the taxpayer is entitled too. They will prepare the 2006 return for free also.
