Annual golf classic June 6

Who said, "it never rains on the golf course", even in the rain Warren Junior Women's League/GFWC is busy getting ready for their annual Golf Classic June 6, at Candywood Golf Course. This year it will be a four man scramble. The major benefactor will be Trumbull County Children Services Board.
The day's events will include breakfast at 7:30, 18 holes of golf/car (Scramble-shotgun starts at 8:30 a.m.), hot dogs and beverages on the course and dinner, donated by Up A Creek Tavern and Grill of Howland. Toyota Volvo and Jaguar of Warren will donate a car for the first hole-in-one on the 14th hole.

Southeast School and
Family meeting

The last Southeast School and Family Meeting will be held on May 14 at 9:45-11:15 a.m. at the southeast middle school, in the library.
Mr. Harrison ,superintendent and Mr. Ries, middle school principal will be our guests We will be accepting nominations for new executive board members for the 2008-2009 school year. All Southeast parents and teachers are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

Warren Junior Women's League/GFWC member attended GFWC/Ohio Federation of Women's Clubs 110th Annual Convention in Columbus. WJWL received several Awards and Overalls but most of all placed 1st in the Top 20 Clubs in Ohio.

Women's League make "Huggy Bunny"

(l-r) Martha Zackeroff, Peggy Boyd International Affairs Chairman and Joyce Webb. Warren Junior Women's League/GFWC International Affairs committee made "Huggy Bunny" comfort bags for Operation Smile. Operation Smile provides life-changing reconstructive  surgery to children and adults in developing countries, as well as uninsured American children. Helping with this project were ladies from the Howland Scope Craft Emporium group.
